Oh yeah, you wanted to know what the study guides contain. The CSM study guide was basically just an outline containing old exam questions with solutions. In some cases, I had to figure out the general mathematical theory from the problems. The outline helped very little, and the process was at time frustrating. The McGannon book had some explaination of the materail but was not complete. The examples were helpful, but it would have been nice to have the solutions to the problems. I really wanted to be spoon fed by a very simple straight forward study guide and did not find one. The online actuarial bookstores will not let you review their materials, except for ASM's study guide. The link to review this study guide is in my other response to this posting. Again, since you cannot pick up and look though these material before buying and some were pretty expensive and pretty disappointing, I would post a message naming whatever guide you intend to buy in the subject line and ask if anyone has used it and what their experience was like. Good luck
