I bought two study guides for exam 1 and would not recommend either. They were the CSM study guide and McGannon's study guide. These are the only ones I have seen but others have recommended the study manual "Course 1 Examination Study Manual, 03 ed." by Averbach & Mehta. Also, you might look at the ASM Study manual by G.V. Ramanathan at http://www.studymanuals.com I downloaded the free chapter and thought looked pretty good. There are a number of study guides listed on the following websites: http://www.actexmadriver.com/ https://www.actuarialbookstore.com/ http://www.actuarialbooks.com/ Before you buy any of the guides listed on the above sites, you might post a message asking in the subject line what people think of that specific guide. This would have saved me some money on two books I was very disappointed in. Good luck.
