Right now in the US there is a large supply of entry level students but a limited supply of openings. I don't know what advantage or disadvantage a career changer would have. Advantages might be maturity and understanding of business world plus some nontraditional skills that might be put to good use, but disadvantages might be salary expectations and the "old dog new tricks" syndrome. These may just be perception problems but they are obstacles to overcome. I would at least test the waters and if nothing happens, try again in 6 months.
