I am taking my first actuarial examination too. All the material I got so far is from www.bpp.com. they have all the practice notes and exam style questions. it's seems really easy to me beacuse I just graduated and I remember most of the material from school. well go to bpp.com; all the notes on that website are free and comes with few sample questions at the end of each lesson. you can also buy a test bank sample questions which is almost same as the actual exam questions but it cost $35.00. also go over the last three year actuarial science examinations; I am sure it gonna be helpful for the preparation of exam 1. gl.

Thanks for the tip. FSA: how long did it take you to complete all of the exams? I am currently studying to become an underwriter and am working in personal lines of a casualty insurance company. I would like to start writing the actuary exams but don't know if the experience in underwriting would be an easy transition into the actuary profession, which is where I want to eventually reach. Any thoughts, tips, ideas? How did you become an actuary?
